Developing each students spirituality is another key element that
attracts many of our students, daily prayers, a value-centered
approach in every class, regularly scheduled liturgies, yearly
class retreats and a strong “service to the community”
program, remind students each day of their responsibilities to
God, family and their fellow human beings.
With roots
in the Catholic faith, it is no surprise that St. Pius X High
School
focuses
as one of they key elements in the education of our students.
The fore required religion credits provide a base for the spirituality
in our school. Prayer is a daily part of our students’ lives.
We begin each day with a morning all school prayer, each teacher
begins class with a prayer, and the students lead prayer before
their lunch each day. Coming together in prayer is natural for
our students when someone is in need in our community or when
a tragic event occurs.
St. Pius X parents
observe their children’s spirituality growth throughout
the four years they spend at St. Pius X, because it carries into
their home-lives. The parents also have a network through our
“parent-to-parent” program which provides opportunities
for school parents to come together and discuss the challenges
they face in raising their children.
Christian values encompass
daily life at St. Pius X. We encourage a sense of responsibility
to God, respect for diversity, service to others, moral and environmental
awareness, and sensitivity to issues of global significance.
