Cardinal Softball Tournament
Teams: Benton, Lafayette, St. Pius, Park Hill South, Cameron,
Gallatin, Leblond, Mid Buch, Savannah, and Schuyler County.
Tournament Site: Heritage Park (Take the
Highland Ave. Exit 7 , off 229 Hwy.
Go west (left) to McCarthur Drive. Turn right and go across railroad
overpass towards the river. Turn right (North) on Waterworks road.
Follow waterworks road approx. 1mile. Heritage Park is on the left.
Fields: Fields 2, Field 3 and 4 will be
used as game fields.
Tournament Set-up: There will be four pools
with all teams advancing to
a single elimination brackets. Ones will play in the gold bracket,
two’s in the silver, and the third place teams will play in
a consolation game. All teams a guaranteed at least three games.
Tie breaks will be determined by fewest runs allowed, runs scored,
and then a coin flip.
Admission: $5 at the gate for the entire day
Game Info: Games will have a 1 hour and 15
min. time limit, with no inning
starting after this time. There will be no time limit on the championship
game. Run rules will apply: (15 runs after 3 innings or 10 runs
after 5 innings). If there is a tie at the end of time (or the 7th),
international tie break will be used.(except for the championship
game). If time allows, only “tournament style” warm-ups
are allowed. Each team will furnish one game ball at the start of
each contest. The home team will be determined with a coin toss
prior to each game.
